COR AUDITS

Our Safety Professionals possess extensive expertise in conducting audits of Health and Safety Management Systems. To obtain a Certificate of Recognition (COR), an employer’s Health and Safety Management System must undergo an audit. Following the initial certification, maintenance audits are required during the subsequent two years, with a re-certification audit taking place in the third year. These audits are carried out by certified auditors using the relevant audit tool provided by the certifying partner, which assesses the fundamental components of a Health and Safety Management System.

To successfully pass an external audit, the overall score must be at least 80%, and no individual element can fall below 50%. A COR is jointly issued by Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) and a certifying partner. Deluxe Safety specializes in COR and SECOR audits for Energy Safety Canada (ESC).

What Are The Benefits Of COR?

  • Increased Work Opportunities

COR or SECOR certification increases bidding opportunities and attracts more clients, leading to a higher volume of projects and revenue. Accredited companies stand out in the market, positioning themselves competitively and gaining access to a wider range of contracts and potential clients.

  • Lower WCB Premiums

COR and SECOR accreditation often results in reduced Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) premiums, offering significant cost savings and improving financial stability. Companies with these certifications demonstrate a commitment to health and safety standards, earning preferential treatment and lower insurance costs as a result.

  • Stamp Of Excellence

COR and SECOR represent endorsements of excellence in health and safety management, earned through meticulous evaluation against provincial standards. Holding these certifications enhances reputational integrity and fosters trust among clients and stakeholders, signaling a company's dedication to maintaining high workplace safety standards.
